Work-Is it all that matters to you? Part 2

The little bird sighed, “Oh me, oh my!
How they will laugh if I try to fly.
If I flutter and flop, or tumble and fall,
Will the creatures all laugh at me, clumsy and small?”

But the sun shone down with a kindly face
“Just try and soon you will fly with grace.”
The bird practised hard never minding to fall,
And now the great eagle flies highest of all.

Continuing my story from where I had left it..I studied in a newly 'autonomous' college with good resources. Being in the capital was an advantage. Moreover, I was studying a subject that was relatively new in India, but I got 'uhmms' and discernable 'tchchs' from uncles who were doctors and engineers. It wasn't "Science' or a B.Tech! Really! neither did I care, nor did my parents.
I had a great time at college. I attended all classes!(in an Arts course, students consider it against the rules to do so!), we were a great bunch of friends, who shopped and had meals ta the good joints in town, went for movies, had night-overs at each other's homes and shared practically everything.
The professors adored the dedication and results :). I enjoyed college life, never needed NOTES and did fairly well. Through the 3 years,I was among the top 3 in Honours and Pass subjects, topped in English and enjoyed Economics.
I enjoyed upsetting set patterns and challenging internal authorities. We had weird and staid ceremonies, that we as a batch planned to change. I was happy to be the 'Jhaansi ki Raani' urf "Bali ka Bakra(Bakri)".

That episode will follow soon..

“I hate to hear you talk about all women as if they were fine ladies instead of rational creatures. None of us want to be in calm waters all our lives.” - Jane Austen, Persuasion
Why shed a tear for one not worth the salt? Anxious for one not worth a halt? Took my heart out Ripped it to shreds. I Wiped it with tears Tied it with threads Am not alone Sad and forlone Look at my life It's talking to me Singing a song As my spirit flows free.

I knew you were trouble

I think... I think when it's all over it just comes back in flashes, you know? It's like a kaleidoscope of memories, it just all comes back. But he never does. I think part of me knew the second I saw him that this would happen. It's not really anything he said or anything he did, it was the feeling that came along with it. And the crazy thing is I don't know if I'm ever gonna feel that way again, but I don't know if I should. I knew his world moved too fast and burned too bright, but I just thought, how can the devil be pulling you toward someone who looks so much like an angel when he smiles at you? Maybe he knew that when he saw me. I guess I just lost my balance. I think that the worst part of it all wasn't losing him, it was losing me.
